Firstly, allow me to introduce myself. I am a small time cook and I am going to share with you an adventure of culinary delight. I have found a fairly unobtrusive baking book and upon flicking through I have discovered many things I want to make BUT I know what will happen - I'll buy the book and it will sit on a shelf gathering dust. So, each week I shall bake an item and tell you people about it, then it's up to you if you decide to follow suit.
The book I've settled on using is called 'Bake It' and appears to have no author (intriguing). It's split into 6 sections and I'll do one from each section on a rota basis so I don't get stuck making bread every week for a month (we already make our own anyway,*smugness abounds*). So, 1) Breads and muffins, 2) Cakes, 3) Biscuits, 4) Bars and Slices, 5) Pastry and 6) Baked Desserts.
This makes my first project fall within the Breads catagory. I open the book in anticipation and am immediately disappointed by 'Simple White Bread'. I'm afraid I'm going to break all my rules immediately and skip this as it's boring and I already do it. White bread is not adventurous. I shall turn the page to adventure, and lo - Finnish Cardamom Rings - perfect! Project found...
